So Bella has taught us that she is 100% her mommy when it comes to emotion. Bella is extremely sensitive and very emotional, it doesn't take much for her to feel badly and cry. I wish she wasn't so sensitive, but that's my baby girl and she's just going to be a mini me in that sense.
Last night she had a sucker that she had gotten for being good during her ear tube check up. We told her she could have her sucker but if she wanted anything else she needed to ask and wait until she was done with her sucker. Kyle and I were in the kitchen and she came wandering in with a chocolate donut in one hand, the sucker in the other.
Mommy: "Bella why do you have a donut?"
Bella: "Because."
Mommy: "Bella what did mommy and daddy tell you if you wanted another snack?"
The lip starts to quiver and off she goes down the hallway. I hear a wimper and crying begins. I go back to chat with her.
Mommy: "Bella why did you run off and cry, you aren't in trouble?"
Bella: "Because."
Mommy: "But Bella WHY are you crying?"
Bella: "The donut."
Mommy: "The donut? Why is the donut making you cry?"
Bella: "Because the donut got me in trouble!"
It was so hard for me not to giggle, but I couldn't believe it, she was honestly upset with the donut because in her eyes that little chocolate donut got her in trouble.
How cute is that?
p.s. She did get to eat the donut after the sucker :)

Valentine's Day
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day this year. Kyle was so sweet and brought me flowers to work on Friday. He refuses to have them delivered, he also picks out the arrangement himself when he gets me flowers, such a sweetie :)
Bella was very excited for Valentine's Day. We had a very special present to give Grandma and Papa. For their 25th Anniversary we (the eight kids) threw them a surprise party with a slideshow of old pictures. They never got a copy of the slideshow on DVD, so I decided to make them one.
I had the pictures on my computer and the music, it took me a while but it was so worth it!!
They had no idea what the DVD was that they opened, when I put it in and the music started they knew what it was. My parents watched that DVD and cried, they were so thankful and just surprised. I had been wanting to do this and was going to wait until May for their anniversary but I just couldn't wait that long. We had also made them a DVD of Bella, which they loved just as much :)
After that we spent the day at home. I had made a DVD for Kyle also, photos from when we first started dating up until now, I LOVE seeing all those pictures and how much we've grown together :) Kyle got me some delicious chocolate covered cherries......I think there are three left :)

Movin On Up
Finally, some good news to share! Kyle is now the Manager for the 16th Avenue location of Enterprise, woo hoo!! :)
He had his interview yesterday and was told he would know by the end of the day. Well at about 8:30pm we realized he wouldn't be getting a phonecall. Needless to say it was a very restless night and neither of us were very happy he didn't hear anything.
Then the good news finally came :) Kyle is just so happy, so very happy and looking forward to this wonderful new opportunity. I'm so proud of him and he is just so deserving for this position.
Score one for the Griffins!

Discovering..
I am so very happy to have a daughter, I really truly feel I was meant to have my girl. I don't think I could handle the boy parts, seriously. Peeing on you, the strange things that go on with their little boy part, not for me.
So instead I will get to deal with the little girl parts. Bella has become very interested in herself over the past year. She likes to go potty with mommy and that makes it a little strange when Aunt Flo is visiting ;) Thankfully she moves on quickly from wondering what mommy is doing with the little "stick". I probably should put a stop to the pottying together, but it's not too often and when it's that time of the month I simply don't think about it until it's too late.
Last night before we put on jammies she was standing there in just her undies. Kyle was sitting in the rocking chair deciding which book to read. I suddenly realized that Bella was standing there rubbing her fingers over one of her nipples.
I was frantically trying to get Kyle's attention without notifying Bella because she was just so intrigued! Kyle saw what I was trying to point out and both of us were having a hard time not giggling and I think Kyle was slightly uncomfortable. I'm not sure how daddy is going to deal with his baby girl wondering about her body!
I'm not sure why this was so hilarious to me, but it was. Bella has seen Kyle with his shirt off and myself too, but it's like she just suddenly realized she has those strange things too! So Bella knows now that boys and girls have nipples, no we don't go around touching them or touching others, they are PRIVATE.
The joy of kids :)
