Springboard...

is the term my chiropractor used for me today. So I gave in and finally decided to go, my back has been killing me and it was like spinal pain, not just the muscles. I am so HAPPY that I went!!!

He managed to get every part of my back adjusted (for me that is a miracle, usually one area has muscles that just won't allow for it). He had to try one hip three times and he said, "god, if I don't get you adjusted on the first try right away you are like a springboard and I just bounce off of you!" It was quite funny :)

So I will enjoy the relief for a little while, although I will be willing the back pain to return tomorrow when I return to my running!

Daddy Makes Me Laugh

This morning my wonderful husband was getting Isabella ready for school while I was showering. I got done and went to check on them, I always like to inspect the outfit he picks for her. Not that he does a bad job, but I think so much about things matching and I'm just crazy like that. He had her in some cropped brown pants, very cute, the shirt was a light blue t-shirt that says "Little Miss Sunshine", and everything is outlined in black. I'm such a pain in the ass that I had to mention that nothing in the shirt was brown, and doesn't she have some black pants she can wear?

Kyle is obviously annoyed with me, but I find the black pants and he changes her pants. Bella looks super cute for the day, as ususal, and I feel like a complete ass. I am the luckiest woman on this earth to have a man who loves me enough to put up with my matchy, matchy bullshit, thank the lord for Kyle :)

Back Pain....Two's Room....Ear Infection

So yesterday was a super exciting day for the Griffin girls. My personal excitement started around 2pm at my desk, I got this sharp pain in my back. At first I was thinking it was probably a kidney pain, I was hoping and praying that it would NOT be a kidney stone!! My poor mother is cursed with kidney stones and passes them fairly often, seeing her go through the pain of them, I was totally dreading that possibility. As the afternoon wore on the pain was getting worse and going around my side, so I knew it was a strained muscle or something. I'm sure it's thanks to my hobby of running.

I went to LaPetite to pick up Bella and found out that she spent half of her day in the Two Room!! Bella being the shy little thing that she is wouldn't go into the room at first because she didn't recognize anyone. One of her favorite teachers decided to go in with her, Bella had to sit on her lap for five minutes before she would venture out on her own. I was told that once Bella recoginzed Jason (Bella's cute boy, she seriously only calls him "cute boy"), she was ready to play and hang with him. Jason and Bella have been together since the Infant Room and they really do get along well so it was great for Bella to realize she would be with Jason once again. So it was a great day for Isabella :)

When we got home I was hobbling around with my PAINFUL back, I thought Bella felt a little warm so I took her temp. It was 100.7, she has had a low grade fever since Sunday and I was hoping and praying that it would be something that could take care of itself. Rather than wait any longer I decided to take her to our favorite walk in clinic. Bella has the nurses/doctors/receptionists all wrapped around her tiny fingers there. I guess it's kind of sad that they all know us so well because we have to go there so often. We found out that Bella of course has an ear infection, she just had one on September 2nd!! We will DEFINATELY be discussing tubes at her two year appointment.

After all this drama I took her home and then headed to the pharmacy for her medicine. Once I got home I must have walked wrong because the pain in my back was shooting down into my butt! It was HORRIBLE, Kyle was trying to help me figure out what was going on, so thankfully I was getting a massage by him. He found about seven knots from my back down into my butt. I have NEVER felt so much pain in my butt muscles! Thankfully our wonderful roommate David had some muscle relaxers, which I gratefully took from him. Today I'm feeling alright, I was going to head to the chiro, but what's the point when it's just my stupid muscles??

Needless to say there will be no running for me for a couple of days :(

The Joys of Sidewalk Chalk...

So it was absolutely gorgeous outside last night, which meant Bella and mommy got to play outside and have a blast :) Due to the wonderful fall weather and lack of humidity Bella can play hard and be outside as long as she wants. Her atopic dermatitis seems to be laying low right now, although she still has some rash on her arms but my little trooper really doesn't care! We brought out the baby and baby stroller, also her little lion thing she likes to ride. I think I enjoyed the sidewalk chalk more than Bella did, she just wanted to push her baby around in the stroller most of the time........

Then it came time for mommy to try to get a bunch of cool shots of Bella. I am obsessed with taking pictures of her, I can't help it, I just think she is the cutest thing! One thing I will never not have is pictures chronicling the wonderful amazing life of Isabella :)

After our fun outside and Kyle got home, daddy got to change Bella into her jammies and was playfully yelling at me because Bella's shirt seemed a little small. This a shirt that I just HAD to get her because it was on sale for like $1, and when else am I going to find a shirt that says "Little in Size Big in Attitude" with cross bones with bows?? It is only size 12 month and shrunk a little in the dryer, so I had to put her in it one more time just for the sake of pictures of her in it :) Obsessed picture taking mom is showing just a little bit!

Stuck.....

Little miss Bella decided last night that she would try to crawl under the little ottoman in her room, not a good idea!!!

I was in the kitchen cooking like a good little housewife ;) Kyle came in to do some dishes while Isabella was running around being her silly little self. Next thing you know I hear a scared cry of, "mommy!". Terrified, I went running into her room to find her underneath the ottoman and completely stuck! She had her upper torso through, including her arms. It took us a while but we got her all twisted around and pulled out. Pulling her head out was tough, I have no idea how she even got in there in the first place!

Thank god she came out of with just a few scratches and bruises. That was fun to explain to her teachers this morning, I'm sure I scored tons of good mom points ;) Thankfully her teachers are awesome and found it pretty amusing, let's hope that Bella bug doesn't try cramming herself into tiny spaces any time soon!
