He's 30...

That's right, my Kyle turned 30 on June 25th!!! We had a low key day/evening, Kyle's birthday falls on the weekend of my Schmitz family reunion so we're always busy. He was very surprised by his gift of money from his parent's, his brother Sean, his wife Nora and nephew Mac, and of course from me, all to go towards a new tattoo :) He knew we couldn't afford for him to get his full sleeve he wants so he thought we'd just forget about a tattoo. But I knew he wanted a smaller one on his other forearm and now he can get it!
We spent the day out in Newhall for the family reunion and had a great time playing bags, eating lots of food and drinking some beer :) Bella had a great time with her cousins, she has a very strong bond with my cousins' from Virginia little girl Alyssa, they ADORE each other!! Alyssa is just one month younger than Bella and they just seriously get along amazingly.

Saturday night I had a party for Kyle at Brick's Bar and Grill, we had a BLAST!!! Kyle drank a lot and got secretly wasted. I say secretly because Kyle is sneaky when he drinks, I think I'm one of the few people that can tell he is. My family was so excited to see him drunk and then disappointed to realize that when Kyle gets drunk he just gets a bit more chatty, not crazy :)

Accident Prone

So as you read below I had a little accident yesterday, I seriously injure myself about once a day. Whether it's a stubbed toe, hitting my head on something or tripping, I'm just plain accident prone. It's almost comical at times, my friend David is the same exact way so relaying my stories to him kills us as I wait to here his story of injury ;)

I went to Target and got some Vanilla smelly things, you know the gel things you set out, I don't know what they are called. I had too many items in my hand and dropped one, it landed right on my little toe. OUCH!!!!!! I crouched down in the aisle pretending to look at carpet cleaning products and I tried not to cry or god forbid, faint. That's all I'd need, to faint in Target, freak people out and get taken to the ER.

I made my way to the check out, almost in tears and headed for my car. I thought my foot felt super sweaty so I glanced down at it (I hadn't looked at it at all, I was too scared too!! I know I'm a big baby.) there was blood running off of my sandal, EWWWWW.

I made it to my car and figured I better check out the damn toe. It's like the stupid air freshener cut right through my toe, the skin was just pushed back. I had blood all over my foot and now soaked into my flip flop. I'm not good with this crap, I had a towel in my car and sopped up what I could and headed back to work.

Now I'm cleaned up and bandaged, what an ordeal. Be careful carrying around those damn air fresheners if you ever get them! ;)

Been a while...

Life hasn't been too overly exciting thankfully! I chopped my hair off last week, pictures to come after a very busy weekend coming up. My Kyle turns 30 on Friday, we have a house warming at my bestest buddy David's, Saturday is a family reunion, Saturday night is party time to celebrate Kyle. There will be LOTS of pictures to share after all that :)

Bella has been having some fun, she spent the night at Aunt Laura's house on Friday night. She and Lauryn had a BLAST, I'm sure Reggie had fun with the girls too even though he won't admit it ;) The plan was for Larry and I to play in a doubles sand volleyball tournament, the crappy rain blew that. Oh well, Bella still had her plans and had fun. She was great when I picked her up on Saturday, I'm sure the fact we were going shopping helped, she is becoming my little shopping buddy, watch out!!

Then Monday night she got to spend the night at my Aunt Karen's house. My cousins Ronnie and Courtney are here for the week from Virginia, their little girl Alyssa is one month younger than Bella and their daughter Allison is about 7 months old. Bella loves Alyssa so we just had to plan a sleepover. The girls did really well, stayed up late chatting though :)

I was supposed to pick up Bells after work yesterday, well instead I decided to slam my knee on the corner of my desk which caused a fainting spell. I headed home since I had absolutely no energy after that and Kyle had to pick up Bella.

At about 6:15pm, I was wondering where the heck they were. Finally Kyle called me and sounded totally stressed, I guess Bella threw the BIGGEST tantrum when it was time to leave! My little peanut has got the biggest temper, she really truly does. Aunt Karen has heard my stories but has never witnessed Bella ever be naughty. She was SHOCKED. Kyle got her out of there eventually, with Bella sobbing and coughing uncontrollably and not telling anyone thank you for letting her spend the night. We are so big on being polite, that just upsets me she couldn't calm down enough to even thank them for such a great time.

When they got home it was straight to bed for Bella. She wanted me to rock her and talk. Bella was very apologetic and overly tired, she fell asleep about 5 mintues after I laid her down.

This morning she is so very sorry for last night, she kept apologizing to me and Kyle and wants to make sure we call Aunt Karen after school. She may be a monster at times, but at least she's an apologetic one ;)

6 Years Ago Today

I married the most wonderful man. I don't like to be too gushy, but really Kyle is the most amazing man and he was meant to be with me and share our wonderful life. He is the man that makes me feel beautiful, strong, silly, but the best thing about Kyle is he is my match. He doesn't put up with my crap, trust me that's a big thing and one of the things I love most about him :)

If you were falling, then I would catch you.
You need a light, I'd find a match.

Cause I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you are chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.

Cause I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

I'd buy you Rogaine when you start losing all your hair.
Sew on patches to all you tear.

Cause I love you more than I could ever promise.
And you take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.

Happy Birthday Dad

My dad turned 62 yesterday, is officially "retiring" at the end of the month and looking foward to a true retirement finally :)

I just can't believe my dad is 62, I must admit that I really thought hard about it yesterday and got extremely emotional. I'm so close with both of my parents and I think they shouldn't be allowed to age anymore until I catch up with them, that would be a Stephie rule :)

There is so much I could say about my dad and how truly amazing and supportive he is. Any house project is done better and easier thanks to him, if I speak the words Lowe's or Menards he knows I'm thinking of a project and immediately offers his help. The best is the fact that he thinks I shouldn't have to clean out my gutters and since Kyle can't do it that means dad comes over once a year to help me out.

Thank you dad for teaching me about horses from an early age, showing me special love for such a precious animal that I will have forever and the special memories and bond we have with our shared love for them. Thank you for being my coach and supporter, one of the strongest supporters I could ever have. If I ever feel like I'm falling off the roller coaster of life I know you will help me get right back on.

My dad would do anything for myself and my siblings and he is such a wonderful papa. He would bend over backwards for his grandkids and they absolutely adore him. If Bella is grumpy I can just give papa a call, have her chat with him and all is right in her world :)

I love you dad, more than I could possibly ever express, I wouldn't be the woman I am today without you. I love you.
